INFO_VULN_ADAPTIVE_CAPACITY

A system's vulnerability is a function of its potential impacts and its adaptive capacity. Adaptive capacity is the ability of a system to accomodate or cope with climate change impacts with minimal disruption.

For this exercise, think about the inherent ability of this land use or management topic to tolerate climate change, but not the ability of management to address climate change. Factors that might increase adaptive capacity in agricultural systems could include having high quality soils or a diverse farm enterprise.

As you make your own adaptive capacity assessment, remember to think specifically about your particular property.
